Hans is an entrepreneur and co-founded 3 global businesses (Telitas, TMG, CLIQ) and took the companies from start-up to exit (IPO or trade sale). Hans started his career as a lawyer with Allen and Overy, and holds Masters Degrees in Corporate Law and Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam.

Over the past 15+ years, I have backed category-defining platforms including Kakao, Woowa Brothers, Grab, Moloco and AstroTalk, supporting companies that have gone on to become market leaders in their respective sectors. Beyond these, I have also invested in several high-growth technology companies and emerging unicorns across Asia including Remember, Team Blind, Kurly, Tiki, Halodoc, Qoala and Porter. My investment experience spans multiple stages from early venture to growth and late-stage investments, across sectors such as consumer internet, AI-driven platforms and digital ecosystems. Throughout my career, I have been particularly focused on cross-border investment and business building, helping portfolio companies expand beyond their home markets and scale across Korea, Southeast Asia and India through strategic partnerships, ecosystem access and regional growth strategies. Previously, I led the Global Investment Unit at KB Investment, overseeing more than USD 500M in venture investments across Asia. Currently, I serve as Managing Partner at Ascent Venture Group, where I am building a Singapore-based investment platform focused on backing the next generation of technology companies and helping them scale across Asia’s fastest-growing digital markets.
